I bought these because I needed something to hold a soft, waterproof Thule storage box on the roof of my SUV. They have more than enough length to go back and forth. They are easy to use and don't slip. and the red rubber part prevents the metal from contacting the car paint. What else can you say here? I would buy them again in a heartbeat! I may even have to use it as a hammock strap because I may have lost the one that came with it!
