UPDATE: September 10, 2012 Ordered a 25ft Cables-to-Go from ELMENOS (seller) which is not working properly. . This newly released cable also does not have the "Cables to Go" name on the packaging and is different from the product shown in the photo. Very hard wire and poor quality connectors. [1 star product/seller] OVERVIEW: The 6 inch cable works great on my computer station allowing me to move around the office more. The 50ft cord works great around my house when I'm vacuuming or just messing around. The 25ft cable was to be used in my TV room for privacy. I guess I just have to use a 50ft cable and get the extra cable out of the way. UPDATE: 07/10/11. various lengths of 3.5mm extension cords. I bought two different lengths and Revain won't let me rate them separately, but I will in this review. 07/07/11 - Initial 50ft cable test (3 stars): The Cables To Go audio extender (brand name on the box) works, although there is a slight drop in volume (about 10%) with use. Sound quality seems good just by turning up the volume. I suspect the volume loss is related to the extra cable length (50 feet) I chose. I hope that's true and I don't have a defective product. I will update accordingly if so. Otherwise the construction looks decent and the cord/wire moves/flexes well when I walk. So, it's all right. 7/10/11 - Second 6ft cable review (4 stars): 6ft cable (another one is an unknown brand) is better as there is no loss of sound when using it. I'm giving him one star because he's a little temperamental. That said, if I plug the headphone jack into the jack on this extension cord, there may be a slight loss of audio until I adjust the connection. Since I'm using this cable in a fixed location, this isn't a big issue. If you plan on mobility, this could be an issue for you. One more note on the actual 6ft cable I received: the packaging only lists one 3.5mm IPH male and one 3.5mm IPH female. I believe this is for iPhone apps because the cable actually has 4 separate wire connections. Standard stereo applications only need 3 connections (right, left and ground). Not owning an iPhone, I'm not sure what the extra connection is used for. This may also be the reason why this cable is somewhat sensitive to the standard (3-wire) 3.5mm connector. Another reason this cable is better is that it has real gold connectors. So as I've experienced with many of these small electronic items sold here at Revain, it really is a hodgepodge of what can be supplied. The good thing is that Revain always refunds the cost of incorrect/inferior products.
