I am a first time tile person and did a shower using a 4x12 tile. I used these thinking it would help me do a better job. The good is that they are much cheaper than the name brand. The bad, they are more flimsy than the name brand so not sure if this mattered or not. They spread your grout line apart so I was constantly having to readjust my grout line. I began using the Tile Leveling System (1/8 th inch) on an 800 sq ft job. When I tried removing the spacers the next day, the spacers DID NOT break off as they were supposed to. Many broke off, leaving the plastic vertical portion of the spacer sticking out between the tiles. I then had to use a multi-tool to cut out the plastic pieces that were sticking up above the floor. These are great, but my first instinct was that you would break them off parallel to the wedges. This doesn't work, AT ALL, and was likely the issue w people who had problems. You need to give them a quick smack perpendicular to the wedges and they snap right off. Maybe this is in some instructions somewhere, but I missed it. Glad I figured it out very early or it could have been a mess.

I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS PERFECTLY AND MY TILE DID NOT STICK TO FLOOR BECAUSE THE PLASTIC TAB LIFTED THE TILE UP AND DID NOT ALLOW IT TO BOND TO FLOOR I USED THE RIGHT GLUE AND THE RIGHT TROWEL AND IT WAS A DISASTER I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU WANT TO PULL UP YOUR FLOOR.

Are there better tile leveling systems out there? Probably, but for the price this was just what I needed. This helped immensely installing large tiles in a shower. To avoid what other reviewers has said about the clips breaking off I actually bent them back and forth gently before placing them so that the breakage point was slightly weaker. I didn't have any trouble with them breaking while tightening the wedge and most broke cleanly after except where I had let the mortar get around them too…

I noticed that one spacer broke towards the top that was left sticking out. I would not be able to grout over it. I tried gently tapping the piece with a putty knife to break it at the bottom, where is supposed to break at, but it would not break. I tapped a little harder and it chipped the tile. If it were a straight cut tile I would just chip it out and cut a new piece. It's actually an intricate cut for a 45 degree angle which was not fun the first a time and won't be fun a second time. This system worked as advertised. I tiled a shower with 12”x24” ceramic tile. I have tried other systems, but this one worked the best!

Made my project so much easier and less time consuming. Also added confidence to help me get started and finished much sooner and faster. My project wasn't a small one but it didn't feel near as big as it did before I got started. Thank you so much for an awesome product!

I used 12x24 porcelain tiles. This product kept tiles flush with each other. I had never tiled before but this helped the project look better. You can get it in 1/16" or 1/8th inch spacers. Easy to use. Break off tip: When tile mortar is fully cured, Tap lightly with rubber mallet lengthwise with the yellow angle blocks under pressure.

Tiling shower walls, about 20% of the plastic legs remain above the surface of the tile. This requires unnecessary delay in removing the plastic that did not break below the surface.

These may level your tile when installing but when you break them off after the tile has set up, they don't break off low enough to grout so you end up grinding them out which was the most difficult job i ever did.Don't use them!

Easy to use and works well. But you will need more wedges if you do a 60inch full shower. I used large tiles and needed more wedges. Great Product

I'm a DIYer, and these worked great on the 4x12 subway tiles. Easy to use, good quality and certainly get the job done! That's my feedback!

I used these for my boyfriend burthday celebration. They are so large I only use 2 of them. This was a great idea. Expensive compared to other tile leveling options.

This tile leveling system was very helpful for beginners. We did have a few mishaps by using too much mortar in the grout lines and caused the pieces to not snap off. It was a bit of a pain to get the plastic out. However, having leveled tiles really helped us keep everything smooth!

I would have given 100%. However, you are not given the option of buying just the" spacers". I mean how many wedges and plyers does one need a whole room full. The only option one is given is to keep buying the whole leveling system over and over. Which insanity. I search at amazon site as well as a Walmart tech with no results just more systems. I used it to tile around a new tub. I am a DIYer who hadn't done any tiling in 35+ years. Using this system kept everything level and even.The tool seemed hokey, but once I adjusted it it worked great.

Way better than no leveling system, easy enough to use. Helps a lot when the floor underneath is a little rough. You still need to do the job right! Work clean, the bits of mortar that get stuck in the spacers can be nasty to chip out if they set hard before you kick them off.

I've had to cut out nearly 70% of the spacers I used on my backsplash. Irritating and frankly, not an easy task. I was trying to save a bit of money with this system--but wasted a ton of time instead. Do yourself a favor and pay a few extra dollars for the better systems.

Absolutely garbage they get stuck and you need to cut out the plastic by hand and it’s more work than just leveling the tile. Stupid design. Don’t buy. They break off at the surface and you need to manually cut out took long to fix than tiling entire 150 sq ft bathroom.
