Not for adult cats. Even in large pieces, unless you have a cat the size of a kitten, cats can't just rest easy. They don't seem confident about smooth wood, it's a good thing they need carpet to hold on to. It's decent and sturdy as long as you put it on cleats. The mollies didn't really fold down to the screws. I withdrew 3 of them when I messed up to review. Make sure you have the correct rivets. This is a frankly stupid review. This Def costs money but has its drawbacks.
