I ruined a $2000 dress with this stuff. Bought this tape specifically because it was "removable"; I borrowed the dress from a friend who is a few inches taller than me and needed a temporary length adjustment. This seemed to fit the bill perfectly - and I hoped it would keep the dress in great condition without poking holes with safety pins. It worked great in terms of application and stability - but removal was the bane of my existence and my last attempt at removal (using four different methods, I resorted to a sticky product) ruined the lining. This is clearly a nightmare scenario as I now have to explain it to the friend I borrowed from and come up with a replacement. his promise. But be careful, buyer: be prepared to give your piece a lasting edge, as the dirt from this tape will *never* wick away from fabrics it touches.
