Maybe it's just me after air fresheners

Maybe it's a placebo, maybe they worked a little? So I left some wet stuff in my hot car and it smelled really gross - spoiled milk I think. I've used baking soda and it didn't help much, oxy cleaners really helped a lot and in my paranoid state of wanting a zero odor car I got them. I've baked them in the sun for a few hours beforehand, but I wouldn't say they make a day/night difference.
