So yeah, this is the best set of flexible clamp pliers I've ever had. Are they prefect? No, but close enough. Are they as advertised? No not at all. But they are are close enough that I haven't been disappointed yet. I always use snap-on clamps and break them regularly. I like snap-on clamps but they break and broken parts aren't covered by the warranty forever. The cables All pliers like this are flexible and require a lot more routing than these Mayhew pliers. The pliers cord is encased in a rigid but flexible conduit for easy handling. These pliers are designed to keep the cord where you go it lays down, and can be molded into almost any shape. No, that's not quite true. Yes, it can be molded. And it's very stiff and durable, which allows it to support itself a lot more than regular pliers like these. But You can't give him any Give configuration and expect it to keep that shape. It can be deformed a little, but won't withstand wild bends. But do you really have to write a name with your hose clamp pliers? no But would it be great if you could? Of course. Anyway, these pliers are amazing. As you'd expect, you can place the end on the spring clamp and simply squeeze the pliers' ratcheting handle until the clamp disengages. The ratcheting mechanism allows the pliers to lock into place so you can focus on moving the clamp backwards from a completely terrible position and orientation. Was the clamp set like this at the factory? Or was the last tech on a burglary and thought it would be a good idea to position the clamp's ears in the dumbest orientation? The world may never know, but at least your new Mayhew pliers will thwart the latest mechanic's plans to ruin your day. I actually saw these pliers on a SnapOn truck. He wanted $189 for it. LAUGH OUT LOUD. I bought them here. It costs all 10,000 kopecks. I sold my snap pliers on ebay for $60, this made the hit a little easier. But to be honest, it wasn't that big of a hit. Hoses and clamps really annoy me at work. hose clamps and connectors. Anything that reduces the amount of swearing that comes out of my mouth is a win. So a hundred dollars isn't that bad. The quality of these pliers appears to be top notch and there are spares, part numbers in the packaging. So if you break, you can order replacement parts instead of buying a new set. The handles are comfortable to the touch, comfortable and durable, and have a very comfortable grip. They are very easy to use and the rigid cable makes them easy to use. The trigger lever works like a charm, as does the ratchet. This is a great tool. Buy it and you too can turn that scowl on its head. One less swear word in your day. Another sense of accomplishment and not to mention everyone will love your new tool. Girls will flock from surrounding towns to take a look at the long, flexible yet durable cable. It will bring a smile to your face when you hold it and give you a great sense of accomplishment when you remove that clip that feels completely unattainable. Yes, it is a tool to master. Don't waste money on anything else. Except beer. And other tools. But no pliers for flexible clamps, just other cool tools.
