I used to have a pair of Avia socks that I wore out and bought as replacements. Like my old Avia socks, these are neither too thin nor too thick. I've never had a problem with them falling off. These socks are a little different than my old ones - they fit more snugly around the arch of my foot - but I really like the change. The tighter fit means they are less loose than my old socks; I am a size 6 and if you are a size 8 or larger these socks may not be comfortable for you. One minus point: I ordered a set that includes white, gray and black socks. There are two almost identical pairs of black socks, one with salmon pink accents and the other in standard pale pink. It's not the end of the world, but having to be conscious of what shade of pink a sock is can be annoying. There are also two pairs of gray socks, but these are very different shades of gray (the pair with neon yellow accents is significantly darker than the pair with purple accents). None of these color issues are important to me; I will probably buy this particular sock set again. But I think they're worth mentioning, especially if you're someone who cares about hues.
