So far I have been extremely impressed with this product. Access times are fast and the Windows management tools are easy for anyone experienced in RAID management (despite a few UI bugs and the apparent inability to save local credentials). I had an issue with the slot placement (I ended up having to swap my graphics card and this card for it to be recognized), but as far as I can tell it's a bug/problem with my motherboard, not this card. If you're tired of fiddly SATA cards annoying you with their unreliability and want something more self-contained than a software raid running your operating system, spend your money and get this card. Splitter cables are required. I bought two CableCreation Mini SAS 36pin (SFF-8087) Male to 4x Right Angle SATA 7pin Female Cables Mini SAS Host/Controller to 4 SATA Target/Backplane Cable 1.0m and they still worked great.
