This engraver works very well! (A: glass, all metals, hard plastics, etc.) I've had excellent results (in NiMh or 1.5V NiCd) with this tool, which is fitted with 1.5V lithium batteries. It's not just about tension. Lithium batteries also hold more energy despite being significantly lighter, so they do more work per battery pack! So far I've written my name or phone number on over 100 items and haven't changed the batteries yet.
