Review on πŸ‘Ά Wittle Finger Pinch Guard - 4pk: The Ultimate Solution for Baby Proofing Doors, Protecting Little Fingers, and Ensuring Safety by Ronnie Dunn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finger pinch protection from Wittle. Too bad we didn't have these for our kids in the 80's.

Once a week we take care of our twin grandchildren. Both start to walk and explore everything. Purchases for the second in the life cycle "protection from children". I liked them so much that after a few weeks I came back to buy new ones, but they disappeared from the shelves and without an explicit replenishment plan. Shame! So I visited Walmart (they sold them but they were out of stock) and several chain pharmacies. Nothing, so go online! I found them at Wittle via Revain Smile, ordered them and received them within 3 days. Made of high-density foam rubber, they slide along the door edge, adhering well to smooth paint or varnish. I believe they also have closed cells which means they are likely to be washable and in the unlikely event that they get dirty won't act like sponges. They provide a nice 1" gap between the door and the jamb to protect those little fingers. You can place them anywhere on the edge of the door and I would recommend placing them out of baby's reach. Make sure the old door doesn't sag enough to remove the guard if the guard is set higher! The guards kick in instantly when you need to close the door, and they're small enough not to take up much shelf or countertop space. I suppose we could take ours off weekly to get them back in shape but most of them have stayed up with no problems since we installed them. Those that have been removed will revert to their original shape and I believe if they ever lose their grip this can be restored by lightly sanding the grip area. They are so simple, effective and easy to use that I highly recommend them.
