Perfect for protecting babies

Bought to put in our fireplace so our 1 year old great grandson wouldn't smash his head on it. I wish I had it for the other three!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Very expensive

May require two: Edge & Corner Protectors

I have a large chimney, no edges so I had to buy two packs and trim the straight pieces to fit and then use the corner pieces to close the homemade corner.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons

Great safe product!

Perfect for keeping the little ones safe by the fireplace! The stickiness is very good, but if you have a curious kid trying to tear them off, you'll end up having to put new sticky strips on them.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Alright

Doesn't stick well to chimney

Doesn't stick to our chimney. My 8 month old crawls up and pulls them all off then tries to eat them. 1 day used and we have to find another solution.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not the best

Worth the money.: Safety

Thick foam and good quality for the money. Ease of installation. The glue sticks as well as possible to the bricks of the hearth of the fireplace. It stays in place, but the little one can easily remove the corner pieces. However, it sticks back. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with toddlers.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

I hate that I had to do this, but whatever.

I hate doing this but it's better for my son. I'm taking off a star because I didn't have to assemble them, but I think for shipping purposes I should have. They look better than most I've seen here and they're holding up well.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • nothing here

Edge and Corner Protection Product Review

The product was easy to assemble, but this product has two problems: 1) Doesn't stick well to some brick surfaces. At 8 months my baby could rip any section off the chimney. 2) At 8 months my baby who was teething decided it was a great thing to chew on. I had to remove this for security reasons. All in all if you have a child who isn't interested in a fireplace then this is a great product. If your kid loves the fireplace I wouldn't recommend it.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Long Delivery Time

Ugly, bumpy, better security

Standard 5 foot bluestone stove on brick ledge, very common in New England. The pieces are a few inches shorter than length, which requires an ugly splicing of a small piece, leaving one side a few inches shorter than the other because it's a borrowed piece. The sections are also of different size/thickness, resulting in adjacent parts not being aligned. This creates an uneven eyesore that is visible throughout the room. The shiny "Made in China" lettering must also be prominently placed at the

Works great on my stone fireplace to protect my grandson.

I bought two of these sets to put on the edge of my stone fireplace to protect my one year old grandson's head as he learns to walk. I've been wearing them for about 2 months now and they work great. I put a layer of double sided tape on the front edge of the bumper based on some comments I've seen in reviews about them not sticking well. I also carefully followed the instructions for cleaning the stone surface before putting on the protective covers. I had no trouble separating the foam from…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
