Not really wanted given the low price, just a bit brighter than my ceiling lights. But the ring light is amazing; I didn't have to go through the instructions to figure it out, just started scrolling through the settings. It can set different colors, all of which can be mixed with normal lighting settings to reduce the color to something less harsh if needed. A stand isn't the most useful thing unless you're using it for applying makeup or whatever and putting it on a counter. And you may still need to weigh down the bottom of the stand to keep it upright, as it's a bit overloaded.
