Review on MEE Audio EDM Universe D1P In-Ear Headphones With Headset Functionality (Love/Pink) by Derrick Shaw

Meh headphones are the best headphones

Please accept this review in disbelief. I'm not a music lover or anything, but I'm a bit audio savvy. Actually I've had them since November and I was very happy to hear them before I received them. I only listen to electronic music and I was interested in these headphones made specifically for EDM. They look nice and attractive and come with quite a few accessories. To be honest, when I first heard them I thought about how bad they sound compared to my SoundMAGIC E10s. Some people say they will sound better with a burn (I think so), but I don't want to waste time on these headphones. Anyway, the first thing I noticed when listening to EDM was how dull the entire frequency spectrum sounds. . Some songs may sound more muted than others. The audio is blurry. Bass is emphasized and boosted for EDM, but it's boomy and deadens the mids and highs, making them sound deepened or slightly distant. The soundstage is small, but there's enough depth to not sound boring. The hiss can be quite a problem on some songs and is very noticeable. It's pretty hard on my ears and exhausting. I haven't tried it with a microphone, so I can't comment on that. Build quality is pretty good and solid; I don't think they break easily. Even though I say all these negative things, they aren't THAT terrible. I just don't think it's that good value for money compared to other headphones in this price range. For the average consumer, this could be a good buy. Audio/music lovers looking for good sound quality at an affordable price should look elsewhere.
