Saw this on YouTube while looking for a lightweight and directional mic. This halo ring had a great review so I decided to buy it. Glad I did because it's awesome. I shoot videos in an office with no natural light and poor lighting at best. This light quickly solved all my problems. I love the fact that it has whites (don't know what they're called) that block the light and even out its distribution. Another great thing is the ball mount that attaches to the inside of the lantern. I can easily connect my camera and microphone. For now, I set up the light at the top of the mic stand, and then the camera and mic mounted in the center of the light. Another feature I like is that you can dim the light to the level you want. I usually leave it on the darkest setting as I'm pale and it makes me look even paler lol. Either way, this halo ring light is amazing. If you don't have one, I promise you won't regret getting one.
