They remind me of leggings, the double buckle design wasn't to my husband's liking right away, but when you put the pants on it completely changes the look. They LOOK like they cost way more than they actually are, which is what I really like about Kenneth Cole shoes. We'd love to have classic shoes on sale (big store rhymes with HOLES), but they don't hold up to constant everyday wear, and when he has to walk through a huge factory with concrete floors, he's not bargainable. to wear this shoe if they hurt his feet. After our first pair of Kenneth Cole shoes we were sold and when he wears them out I replace them with shoes from that brand (and Nunn Bush, another brand we love). These shoes have some heel cushioning, they have a non-slip rubber outsole which isn't as cushioning as other shoes from this brand but still gets the job done. The double buckles look really weird and different and we love them. Just a tip, if you're buying Kenneth Cole shoes, give darker shoes like black and dark brown a nice buff (we use highly pigmented Angelus, Kelley's and Tarrago shoe polishes). Lighter colors like brown and cognac: If you don't apply the cream perfectly, it will show. Use a brush and apply this material to every seam and crevice to avoid color lines. I don't know why these shoes do this, but you can save a lot of work just putting them on like that. All in all we are extremely happy with Kenneth Cole's style and shoes so far and I will never buy "discount fashion shoes" again. When comfortable clothing is important, you're not really saving money.
