Review on Belkin Professional Speakers with Docking Station and 4K HDMI Display, Model E248W 19203R by Mesfin Silverman

As laptops evolve, their ports are slowly disappearing, creating a real need for docking stations like this one. The goal stated by Belkin in the 11-in-1 Multi-Port Docking Station listing is to provide "excluded multimedia and Ethernet ports. from the latest Apple laptops and PCs. Well, to that end, yes; and thank you very much! I know you can read the Belkin listing for all the details and specs on this, so I'll get to the point of this review. The design premise of this docking station is to place your laptop on top of the device. With this in mind, the tilt of the keyboard makes typing easier and the screen can be adjusted to a comfortable position. I have a 13" MacBook Pro and have spent quite a bit of time playing around with the placement. However, trying to find a position that doesn't wobble or feel askew proved a challenge. I finally found a position that was stable and comfortable to use.The cable on this unit is too short and frustratingly stiff hence the problem of finding the right place for my laptop.As other reviewers have mentioned, this unit plugs into the left side of your computer. So if you don't have a USB port on the left side, keep looking. I'm deducting a star for these 2 reasons. I love the fact that it has MicroSD and SD card readers. I usually use a USB stick, but sometimes I wanted to download photos directly from the cards. I could definitely use a few more USB ports. Although I'm pretty sure I'll find a way, the best making e out of them lol. I don't know why I thought this unit would have a footprint almost the same as my laptop. It doesn't make sense as it would be another clumsy thing to travel with. Thankfully, it's much smaller, less than 1/3 the size of my laptop, and very light. HOORAY! One thing I LOVE about the Belkin is that it always works with Apple products. THE PICTURES TALK ABOUT THE SWORD so please take a second to look at some of mine.
