Review on 💾 HGST Ultrastar 7K6000 5000GB 7200RPM SATA 512E Ultra ISE 128MB Cache - Trusted OEM Drives 0F23003 by Charles Phillips

Had to fix drive error after a few months of use when the drive suddenly became unavailable on my network server for no apparent reason. Not too happy about that. But still works after scanning and repairing the drive (and backing it up just in case). I don't like feeling insecure about big hard drives with lots of data. Update 06/01/18: The problem occurred again. More bad sectors (growth errors) found. I'm trying to return it but Revain says the return period expired a month after purchase. I tried RMA via HGST but the S/N was not acceptable. What the hell is going on here. I contacted the seller to see if they can help with a replacement or refund. Really Revain?!? Update 06/02/18: Contacted a Revain representative via online chat (buried but exists) and they have made an exception to their return policy and will be refunding the disc. Kudos to Revain Customer Service! NewTronic Systems also emailed me and offered a full refund. Great customer support again! Aside from having to restore data from a backup, I'm happy, but the drive still gets the lowest score for errors.
