Review on Floerns Women'S Plus Size Satin Spaghetti Strap Cowl Neck Wrap Cocktail Dress by Alex Romero

I bought a 3x in jacquard green. I'm 5'1 and 215ish pounds (give or take five lbs). I ended up having to tailor this dress on my own for a wedding that was canceled a few days after I received it. It was a very late last-minute purchase, and I didn't have time to return it and order the same dress in a different size before the wedding. When the dress came it was way too long, the neck did not sit how it was supposed to and the ruching on the front was frumpy and mismatched to the ruching on the back panel. My measurements matched the 3x size on the chart, so I thought I was getting a dress that would fit comfortably. Looking back I would size down one or two sizes, but it would probably still be too long. I ended up sewing the front to create a proper cowl neck, and I had to hem the skirt to where it sat just below my knee like in the product picture. I also had to add darts in the back and do the ribbon trick to properly sinch it to my waist. I would include pictures from when I first tried it on but it was so bad that I would embarrass myself. I would not recommend this to all my fellow shorties out there, but if you're tall go for it! The color I got is also great for a fall/winter wedding guest dress or evening dress. I'm still fixing up little things I want to tweak, but the dress is very far from the original now. I'll probably be wearing it to other events this winter.
