Old school electronics

Update July 2021: The remote stopped working after 3 months of moderate use. (Note: Tested with a new battery although the original 2032 is over 3V). First review: This is a nice little toy. must be powered by 12v (or 11v, like mine) with a 5.5mm jack. or solder something together). Do you see where I'm going? It's an MP3 player (haven't tried FM, I have an old stereo for that), looks like someone is trying to make an Arduino/Raspberry Pi project for fun. Old school. Here's what you shouldn't do: download the app, go to the website, write a message, and then enter your username and password. Write it down. Keep it in a safe place. Now go back to the app, log in, go through 14 different sub-menus for the activation code screen. Go back to the Internet, log into the manufacturer's website, enter your email address and code, and then wait for the 16-digit device activation code to arrive in your email address. Wait. Return to the application and find out why the server didn't download the code. Fix your problem. Now go to the application menu system and enter the device activation code. Repeat the above steps until the device turns on. Here's what you SHOULD do: with MP3s on the front. Then plug in a 3.5" mini RCA on the back, which plugs into your old stereo. Turn it on with the button on the back (looks like it was recycled from a previous project). Now listen to: THE MUSIC THAT'S ON YOUR 16G ULTRA FIT DRIVE. INSTANTLY. And the sound is actually decent (with 4 equalizers). the settings!). Unfortunately, the interface is a throwback to the AM radio in my '65 Impala (looks like it was ripped off the dash of an old car). There is no display (Wow! My 10 year old dying Sansa has a display). You need an ad. You also need a random function. I really want to turn this thing on and hear the same tunes every time, starting with #1. Also, the display would allow for sort of a rough search for a specific song. Additionally, others have indicated that remote jobs work at a maximum of about 6 feet away. Space (Oh please. An IR system that can't work at 10-15ft?). What I really needed was a way to play my old 3000 MP3 songs, transfer them to my old stereo, and hopefully play them in random order. Also, I have a decent user interface, so it's relatively easy to browse songs and look for a specific one. However, I will not return the device. It works out. A great feature: it starts to "play" as soon as the power is applied. This way, when the adapter is connected to the socket on the back of the stereo, you simply turn on the stereo and the music starts playing without any further button presses. The second major feature is memory. When the power is turned off, the device will function the same as when it was turned off. Excellent. They do NOT start at song 001 (like in old Sansa where I had to re-enter all the playback parameters each time), this thing picks up the file where it left off before. One bad quality: no random selection. game option. However, it seems to me that the storage system has an unusual file structure that I cannot analyze. So basically the 3000 songs on this thing play randomly! Also SEARCH, but not SCAN. start. Conclusion: Buy.I use it almost every day.
