This is advertised as leather. I am not an expert but in examining some details. The wrap that snaps around the grips doesn't feel like real leather to me. Of course, I didn't cut it in half to test it. The finish of the bag looks like a top layer, not like dyed and polished leather with a top grain. Of course, the bag only costs about $60. I can fit 2 1 inch 3 ring binders in the main compartment so that's pretty good. Fits well. Zippers work smoothly. The bag doesn't look cheap. I think it may take 4 or 5 years but only time will tell.
