I bought stainless steel and it's quite expensive. When I opened the package I found the thermostat was plastic. I emailed Delta customer service and they confirmed that it is plastic. That's the first disappointment after I installed the last element, which is the temperature control. It does not look good. It's not perfect and has a 1/4" gap between the two handles. So I decided to buy a cheap single handle shower that was only $50 and was the same quality as the brand name.
