Moen T2471BL Genta LX Posi-Temp Pressure-Balancing Modern Trim Valve Required in Stylish Matte Black Review

Bought to update an old bathroom shower handle. Fits perfectly over the old posi-temp valve that was installed when I bought my house 11 years ago. The matte black color looks beautiful and the handle style makes the shower modern and new. I am happy with my purchase.

Good workmanship and good quality. Black is very attractive. However, the picture does not look like the final product. Take a picture and move the handle back another inch from the base. It pretty much stands out. Much more than we would like. Consider it.

Easy to install, however the handle wobbled a lot when attaching the handle to the plastic handle adapter provided. After exhausting all possible treatments with existing parts, resort to using a replaced/old grip adapter which is metal and the wobble is gone.

Bought to match the rest of moen. After everything is done, my pen sticks out a bit. The contractor says he should have installed the piping further into the wall if he had used the measurements Moen provided for this product. Apparently this has been a problem for years and moen won't change it. I wish I had gone with Delta.

We bought this for our basement shower and it works and looks great with our other finishes. We bought one for our upstairs bathroom and I will buy it again. It usually gets water marks which are more visible (due to the dark color of the finish) but I wipe it down with a damp cloth and then dry it and it looks brand new. Easy to fix.

I used this to redesign the shower area in the guest bathroom. I had to buy it because the one that came with the sink faucet didn't have the same valve mechanism and I didn't want to spend $600 tearing down the bathroom to install the correct faucet. Bought Moen knowing it was a standard size valve. Looks nice, but nowhere near as good as the original mechanism I chose.

This finish gives your bathroom a sleek and modern look. The metal body and high gloss chrome finish are stunningly beautiful. It has blue and red dots that show the temperature pages, and the knobs feel very solid and tight once installed. in valve with this trim kit and everything went smoothly. Moen is basically what I use and recommend to all my clients.

This is not a negative review for Moen, it is for Revain. Revine indicated that I am purchasing a new product. This is not new, it is a returned item that was not clean and poorly packaged. The packaging was returned by someone else and Revain staff never appears to have checked the item for completeness or condition. Individual parts were dirty and dangling in the package. Now I have to decide whether to return (which will delay my renovation plan, which will cost me wasted time) or risk this…
