I bought this item to take a few things with me on a cruise. The backpack was light and arrived packaged in a very small package that looked like a tote bag. After opening the lid, it turns out that it was an inside-out pocket on a backpack, one of the existing pockets. We were able to pack random items for seven people into a backpack and keep it together. Things like sunscreen, phone chargers, full-face tubes, passports, and wallets. The overall design was well thought out and my first impression was that this is a well made product that would be good for situational use (hiking, beach, cruising.). If you are looking for an everyday school backpack I would look for something more durable. It was perfect for my needs and I would recommend it to anyone.
