It's almost impossible to find a jacket for my basset hound without spending over $80 on an order. I ordered it in size xxl and it got in the way of his wide legs a bit, also it was tight in the neck and didn't really cover the croup. In short, it was too small. I ordered up to xxxl and the length of the neck and bodice was perfect. But the bottom length was too long. I got out my sewing machine and lengthened it by about 2 or 3 inches with a short seam at the base near the neck and now the bottom is the perfect length and the leg holes are perfect for his basset hound legs. Everything closes the same way. My basset hound is smaller, only 54lbs, I think you could get by with a larger dog without any modifications. Shortening the base also gave him more business opportunities. The jacket offers enough protection so that his stomach doesn't get too cold.
