Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ Hoya 67mm NDx8 HMC: Enhance Photography with Neutral Density Filter by Jake Pavelko

Affordable ND Filter

After several hours of searching for a cheap and good quality filter I settled on this one. Of course I wanted to buy a B+W, but I just didn't want to spend over $100 on a filter as I'm just an amateur photographer. ND8 is perfect for a bright, sunny day when the strong light doesn't allow you to adjust the settings to get a good shot. I tested it in very bright daylight and photographed a sunflower against a very light blue sky. I was able to take a quality photo because darkening the lens with an ND filter allows me to adjust the camera. and don't push the shutter speed to the maximum (or minimum aperture)! I didn't see any flaws in the photo. Can't wait to use it for long exposures soon! I'll update the review after trying long exposures.

Pros
  • Allows camcorders (with fixed exposure) to capture subjects such as snow, sand or other bright scenes that would normally result in overexposure.
Cons
  • It was possible to choose a newer model
