Second-rate product, won't buy it again.

A few months after the purchase, the motion sensor started having issues: at first, the screen would occasionally display the message "Remove your finger from the sensor zone" (even though the user's finger was not even close to the area), then this error started occurring more frequently, and as a consequence, the sensor became stuck, causing the screen to go black and making it impossible to hang up the call while in the middle of a conversation. I'll say it again: the error is "floating," which means that occasionally it operates without a hitch and occasionally it does not. I took it to the flagship service on Mayakovskaya in line with the warranty's requirements, and even though they replaced the complete board (the sensor is soldered into it), the problem persisted. Again, they replaced the screen as per the warranty's terms, and the sensor is now operable via the new screen. Each of the fixes took a few weeks to complete. The problem first stopped occurring, but after a while it returned and became more regular. Although I could still return it under the warranty because I bought it exactly a year ago, I don't see the benefit in doing so. There isn't much more they can do because everything related to the sensor has already been changed. I've only ever bought one thing from Xiaomi, and it'll probably be the last; from now on, I'll exclusively buy Korean goods. I've already had one warranty claim issue, and the item was fixed in front of me.

Pros
  • Fast
Cons
  • Unreliable; if the proximity sensor is damaged, the warranty is invalidated and repairs are difficult.
