Review on ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Optimized Rain Poncho: Arcturus Lightweight Ripstop Nylon with Adjustable Hood by Larry Simpson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's nice and big best in Wind & Rain

I'm 5 10. This black poncho reaches my ankles. What can I say. He is beautiful and tall. No more wet feet. The toes of your shoes can get wet when you walk. I can sit in the rain and I'm not afraid of getting wet feet. It's actually big enough that I could wear it over a backpack for someone my size. This poncho is sealed with seams. However, the poncho I received had a defect where the two halves of the hood connected to the rest of the poncho. I solved the problem with "Gear AID" clear repair tape. The poncho has 3 buttons on each side to close the poncho (6 in total). However, in windy conditions, these gaps between the buttons allow too much wind (and therefore water) through. Arcturus, if you're listening, use 4 buttons, or better yet, 5! The product will be much better. I'm tempted to find a button closure to add the missing button. When I got into the rain the poncho was big enough that I covered it with my hands to keep the water out. The hood is a fairly plain and therefore mostly shapeless fabric. You need a baseball cap to shape it or you'll get water on your face in heavy rain. Adding something to stiffen the top edge of the hood will go a long way. The inside of the poncho appears to be made of rubber. I don't like this feeling on my skin. I think this layer is for sealing. It would be better if there was an insole, even if it was very, very thin. something smooth. Consider lining the Charles River Apparel Pacific Poncho. Ultimately, however, this poncho really kept me dry. That's big. Your feet will be dry. You can sit in the rain. But it could have been better. There is a manufacturing defect. Hood design could be better. More buttons would have helped close the page. An inner lining would be nice.
