Yes, it's light, but there are some problems with it. First, it's waterproof, not waterproof. Once it's been soaked enough times, you'll find yourself getting wet underneath. Me: Major international hiking experience Use: I used it on a 60 mile hike. Without a backpack it's perfect for my 6ft 2in height. It fits my 70L backpack but shows my bum and the back of my legs. Looks like a lightweight, oversized poncho with a touch of ripstop. This is about 4 inches off the ground on my 6ft + 1.5″ shoe body.
