Review on ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Optimized Rain Poncho: Arcturus Lightweight Ripstop Nylon with Adjustable Hood by Brian Douglas

Revainrating 3 out of 5

not suitable for a backpack at all; Must be at least 6 feet tall to use this.

Looks like a lightweight, oversized poncho with a touch of ripstop. This is about 4 inches off the ground on my 6ft + 1.5โ€ณ shoe body. The waterproofing is a thin heat applied plastic sheet(?) that appears to be fairly professionally applied but has some 3-4mm diameter (flat) circles when unsealed. The hood and neck are spacious and therefore allow you to keep your head warm like in a thick hoodie, but there is no visor to speak of. Too bad: This is NOT a backpacking poncho. The designers obviously screwed up and placed the hood an equal distance from the front and back edges. This is really unfortunate as the length would definitely allow for a decent length in the back for the backpack and when the backpack isn't open the extra length can be tied/snapped to match the front length. Maybe this is just a mistake in sewing, and the ones offered are actually a marriage in quality? To make matters worse, although it's difficult to really compare the quality of this product to similar Campmore products described, they cost about half the price BUT you have to place a large order to get free shipping. BTW, as a very minor complaint, yes it comes rolled up tightly in a cute little drawstring pouch, but I find it unlikely to fit back in there. I will be returning this item as I usually carry a backpack; (Update: Seller was quick to help with a refund.) I'll say it's NOT BAD for a 6ft person WITHOUT a backpack.
