I bought the small for running as I need a snug fit to avoid chafing. The fit is more like a roomy medium and the material, while comfortable to wear, is heavier and has more texture than I expected. If I tried to walk in it, it would be like rubbing my body with a cheese grater. I like how the shirt can be carried around, but I had no intention of buying it.
