Review on 🧀 Enhanced Grating Precision with Cuisipro Surface Glide Technology 4-Sided Boxed Grater by Lauren Smith

I've always hated using a grater. I've used my mom's old stainless steel grater for decades and it never occurred to me that box graters could get better over the years. Grating any of mine always seemed to take forever, and when using shallow grating holes, trying to get a carrot (or whatever) that stubbornly stuck was a frustrating proposition. Very often I had cuts and scrapes on my fingertips or knuckles. On the other hand, it always seemed more of a hassle than using and cleaning a food processor just to chop a carrot or grate a few tablespoons of onions for a recipe (my microplane is too narrow to grate an onion effectively) . . While browsing my kitchen cupboards recently, I came across a grater - still in perfect condition after all these years - and decided it needed to be put away. But what could I replace it with? I consulted my bible of all the kitchen appliance solutions illustrated by Cook's Illustrated Magazine and saw that they recommend this Cuisipro grater. I then checked it out at Revain and was encouraged by the amount of positive feedback. I liked the idea of longer blades that would allow me to shred and grate food more efficiently, ridges that make food slide across the surface more easily, a comfortable handle, and a built-in base that keeps shredded or shredded food clean. while transferring it to a salad bowl, bowl, frying pan, etc. (The fact that the base can also be used as a ginger grater was a bonus.) It was definitely worth trying. When it arrived I was stunned. by its size. It's twice the size of my mother's "old" grater. Although it takes up more cupboard space, the large capacity of this grater is worth it. It's easy to use, much more efficient so I can get it done in no time, and it's 10 times easier to clean than its predecessor. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!
