I love these bowls. I also have plates and salad bowls. I know they say they can be reheated in the microwave, but I wouldn't recommend microwaving them for too long. They get very hot and stay hot for a long time. My bowl had a lot of water (boiling) on the bottom when I removed it from the microwave. (it took about 1 minute 30 seconds). The one I reheated didn't have much liquid in it, so it didn't come from the food. One cup broke off the top about 2 weeks after receiving it, but that could have been caused by one of my kids. I have two sets of plates and one set of salad plates and none of them cracked. They dry very well in the dishwasher without stains.
