I contacted the seller immediately after ordering from AMAZON and told them I didn't want them to ship the item unless the expiry date was about a year away. I just haven't used that much toothpaste in under a year. The seller replied and said he would contact me after the Memorial Day holiday. You never finished the work. Instead, they sent 6 tubes of toothpaste and attached a label to each box of tubes that said "use until 11/2023". When I open individual boxes of tubes, the date on the crimp shows 10/18. (October 2018). The manufacturer's packaging clearly states that the toothpaste has a shelf life of 24 months after the date printed, i.e. it can be used until October 2020. They extended the manufacturer's recommended usage time by 3 years and a month! It's a well-known fact that the FDA doesn't regulate toothpaste, but there needs to be some sort of ethics law prohibiting sellers from falsifying data, and AMAZON should AT LEAST prevent that. Shame on them all. I will attempt to return this and I hope AMAZON takes note of this mislabeling practice which aims to mislead the buyer.
