I've used mesh razors my whole life, and after trying the rotary system, I went right back to them. A bigger rotor that is less in weight. Reduced noise from the rotor. Cleaning mesh is simpler. Shaving with a rotor is more convenient for me because of the wider area it covers, but the mesh provides a closer shave. And most importantly, the rotor has given me awful irritation, and the razor broke really soon due to its design (many moving parts). The grid system is more dependable in this respect. With a longer shield, though, the rotor operates considerably more smoothly; a weekly shave is all that's required. No more than two or three days off the grid. from 09/06/19 It took so much longer to shave at this point that the blade nearly stepped on it. Before, I changed the nets every five years, but now I find that they cost nearly as much as a new razor. Evidently, this is how the razor is meant to be consumed annually. My previous score of 4 is now a 2. I'll have to go back to using the rotor.
