Critical Design Flaw Ruins Perfect iPad Keyboard Case

You will love this product and hate it - the hate comes from a design flaw that renders it useless. I know because I have a second case after a warranty exchange. PROS Works with iPad 9.7 5th Gen 2017. It has EXCELLENT tactile keyboard. The battery life is as stated several months. Great weight/feel for the case and keyboard but not bulky. it is poorly designed in the top left corner of the case. BACKGROUND I have the second version of this keyboard cover. Logitech's warranty worked forever to replace the first one that broke, but they did it. And now the second one broke in the same place. Basically, the top left latch (only about 1 inch long at the top of your iPad next to the lock button) is a very thin plastic lip that barely fits over the iPad's frame. Now - I'm using an iPad 5th gen 9.7 from 2017, which has SUCH CHASSIS (still a bit smaller - 0.1mm) than the iPad Air. It should fit and work. This WORKS, but after about 2-3 months that ridge in the top left corner of the screen comes loose (if it's a case) and snaps in place near the lock button. EVERY TIME. Superglue backside DOESN'T WORK. It's just that this flimsy piece of plastic gets too much stress over time. You can actually guess when this will happen as the stronger plastic (5x thicker) in the top right corner of the case (bottom right edge if NOT in a case) starts to push the iPad to the left over time. . You'll see a small gap before he dodges to the left. I LOVE this keyboard. I am using it now to write this review. But I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Still have to order under warranty. And I know it won't last more than 2-3 months. Too bad - it's perfect for this new iPad.
