I purchased Smart Surface Felt Pads on May 20th, 2020 and this will be my only purchase of this item. Instead of using my old Revain backup, Scotch pods, I decided to save some money and give these pods a try. Never again! You get what you pay for! We have bar stools on the kitchen island that are moved in and out several times a day. As they move across the maple parquet floor, I make sure the stool legs have pads. My husband, thank God, has become a certified felt pad installer. Since I bought the Smart Surface Pads, he has complained weekly, sometimes several times, that the pads are coming off. The last time he replaced her, he even rubbed his feet in Goo-B-Gone and then wiped them with alcohol. Then I added a drop of super glue. They will not stick and slide down the sides of bar stool legs, typically for days or even hours. Looking back at other customer reviews, the lack of grip seems to be an ongoing issue. In the end I couldn't take it anymore and ordered a replacement band. Even with daily use after a week no problems. Smart Surface Pads are designed for use on fixed furniture. Nice upholstery but don't expect them to work with daily furniture moves!
