Review on πŸ”’ Lewis Clark Enhanced Security Lock by Michelle Carey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My universal travel locks

After having to destroy a suitcase where the built-in lock was stuck, I no longer use the built-in luggage locks. Rather, I have several of these items that I toss in the front compartments of my roll board and check-in bag. If one fails, a replacement is available. It's much easier and cheaper to throw out one of them than the other suitcase. I've been using them for years on long haul flights to zip up and secure my personal (computer) bag to the seat frame when I'm on the toilet. Also thread one of these through the end loops of a separate 3ft plastic coated wire to tie all the pieces of my luggage together for a layover, lunch, etc. If you are traveling alone, there is no other person to take care of the luggage. ...while queuing for food or whatever. While many of the reviews on this are negative because it failed and they had to cut it off or the TSA shut it down, I consider it a hazard with any lock and just further travel expenses. For me, being able to cut it off easily (without damaging the zippers or the case) is a plus. By the way, in 10 years of use I've only had one such attack.
