Heavy duty? Yes. Easy to use? Something like. The flexible part of the gooseneck is incredibly stiff. I'm used to working with heavy objects and I'm having a hard time getting this thing into position. At the same time, it doesn't splay at all, but half of my male friends have no chance of getting into the right position due to the incredible stiffness. It takes 40-60 pounds of force to get this thing into place I reckon. I haven't found a debuff mechanism. Also, my Tab A7 10.4 is rotated 90 degrees in the case, so in portrait mode (tall and skinny) the clip is placed in a horizontal position. Slight pressure on the tablet may unlock the tablet's head and cause it to fall. A vertical crop landscape is less likely. It doesn't take much effort to get the clamp out of my hand so I did it 4 times in 2 days with random hits until I found a spot where it rarely happens now. lots of room to save. If only the clamp mount was a little more solid, like a threaded ball clamp instead of an H-shaped slide clamp, and a flexible neck loosening/tightening mechanism, and that would be the best mount I've ever seen.
