Winter in the Midwest. In the early evening it gets dark. Dark until 7 a.m. I have a black lab mix. It's hard to see in the dark. And most of my winter running clothes are also dark. Even with Nathan's runner/safety vest I had to walk very carefully and even dodge cars. Let's face it, motorists are just checking their phones more than they have been in years past. After a few close encounters, I just didn't feel safe running even in quiet residential/suburban areas. Amazon has a dizzying array of LED dog collars. From ultra cheap to expensive. To be honest, Illumiseen wasn't my first choice. But $45+ for my first choice, I just couldn't do it. Although it was greatly appreciated. This Illumiseen was also highly rated, so I took a chance. Impressive. From the very first time, my dog and I went for a walk in our new LED gear (and I used the new Tracer360 LED running vest). I was shocked. Totally shocked. It was clear that we were seen. I could see the cars slowing down 100 feet before we caught up with them. I didn't have to play the "They will see me, they will blow the stop sign" game at intersections. Cars stopped several times during this trip. They waited. They waited because they saw me approaching the intersection. i am sold I'm not sure why it took me so long to set us on fire. Maybe it's me, but I've seen many other runners and early morning walkers wearing the same glowing collars and leashes. Would I buy this particular collar again? 100% YES. I'll probably buy this as a gift for dog walkers too. Pros: - very cheap price - easy to crop - great brightness - slow flashing, fast flashing, constant (I prefer constant while running) - great battery lifeCons: wish it was multicolored (but I'm happy with the acid - radioactive green) would like that it is 100% waterproof (maybe I can find a solution)
