My original 1 star review was never published so I'm writing it again. I think this product can be worth 4 stars. However, my reason for the initial 1 star rating is that the "NEW" product arrived with what appeared to be blood stains. I photographed larger spots, but there were several smaller spots throughout. I was very upset with this because if I ordered a used one it was easy to expect it to arrive in this condition but if you want someone to believe something is new and not something someone could return out of dissatisfaction, you would not do this. send like this. The principle of what appears to be a stain makes it repulsive even if it has been used. I contacted Revain, sent the first one back and proceeded to get a replacement because the product was not only disgusted but seemed to be what I was. Looking for. A replacement arrived and I examined it carefully as I had the first one and found no stains this time. I washed it in a top loading washing machine and it washes well. I put it in the dryer on low speed and dried it by taking it out and flipping/flipping it over so everything could dry without having to set it on a higher setting. I am satisfied with the comfort it offers. It feels like lying on a stack of high quality plush blankets or blankets. It even made my sheets even softer than usual, which is weird but awesome. I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that it's too short. It fits the top and bottom of the queen fairly snugly, but leaves a gap of about 2 inches on the sides. It's fine, unless someone tends to sleep on the edge of a precipice like I sometimes do. Can't talk about the 'cooling factor' as we didn't notice any temperature change compared to previous toppers and just a basic mattress, but it doesn't seem to make us any hotter. Just in case anyone needs to know, it's not waterproof. So if that's what you're after but still want to try, I'd suggest putting something waterproof underneath. Overall, apart from my previous disappointment, I really like it. Product minus short sides. It's very soft and comfortable and I'm glad I decided to give it another try. If I were to order it again I would get a king size just to try and get more coverage.
