Review on πŸ”Œ Rosewill USB WiFi Nano Adapter Dongle: N150 Wireless Speeds, Raspberry Pi/Pi 2 Compatible by Christopher Gulledge

I could get a very bad signal when I installed an install disk with a .

I bought this adapter to use with an old motherboard that doesn't have a built in wireless connection. My operating system is Linux Mint 18.3 and I've read at least one review that says it works with Linux. As the saying goes, "Your mileage may vary." I was able to get a very poor signal when booting up the install disk with the Rosewill adapter attached. I've tried different locations and antenna configurations but haven't been able to improve the signal significantly. After installing the operating system, I could not access the Rosewill adapter at all. I've spent a lot of time reading various forums but couldn't connect and successfully compile the Rosewill Linux drivers. It was extremely frustrating and just not worth the headache. I ended up buying a wireless access point that worked without my effort. I would also like to echo the complaints of others here who have mentioned the very poor quality of this adapter. The metal shield around the USB connector came loose in my hand when assembling the antenna and base, and the base's internal cable connectors are unprotected. So if you plug them in carelessly, you can bend them and render the device useless. Although the Rosewill adapter is cheap, I find it overpriced due to its poor quality.
