ASICS has always been a very comfortable shoe and I bought several pairs for this reason but this shoe ended up being horribly short. The classic cushioned midsole, which provided cushioning and support, has been replaced with the typical hard sole of a cheap shoe that you can find in any big discount store. I haven't given up on ASICS, but I'll probably buy one off the shelf to be sure of the materials used.
