This product works very well. I have a 2009 Scion xB that does NOT have a transponder in the key. When you get the key it comes with a little machine with a website address you can go to. Please note that the key does not come with a manual or instructions. I went to the website, entered my vehicle details and scrolled down. There you will find detailed instructions on how to program the remote control. It took a few tries to figure it out, but everything is programmed without much fuss. The next step was to make the key into Ace. I had to sign a liability waiver from Ace because I brought my own key. I cut the key and it worked great. The only thing is that the panic button doesn't work. I don't need a panic button and for the price I got a spare remote/key, who cares. The product works as advertised. I would just say make sure your dongle doesn't require a transponder/chip. This is a very different ball game and costs a little more because you have to have that transponder programmed by a pro.
