Review on Flash Furniture HERCULES Intensive Executive Furniture by Emily Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A very durable chair that has its own idea of how to sit.

I've tried several desk chairs, usually in the $75 range. Everything was fine until the gas tanks inevitably gave out and I was left with a chair for a small child. This time I opted for a heavy-duty chair. This one suits both my weight class (I'm 400 pounds) and budget (under $200). Delivery was fast but problematic. The chair came in a damaged box, the gas bottle was missing. But a few days later, after several calls to customer service, I received a new cylinder. (Thanks, Jim!) Assembly is easy, except for one thing - SHOW THE ASSISTANT. Trust me, you need extra hands when it comes to maneuvering and holding the two large pieces that make up the seat. This beautiful chair outshines its predecessor. Easy to maneuver on the ground. The armrests are very strong which is a big plus as I have to lean on them to get up. Disadvantages --► Seat angle does not tilt backwards. I turned the knob all the way both ways with no discernible difference in seat angle ►The backrest ensures you sit upright whether you want it or not. I know lumbar support is desirable, but I've never had a chair that offers it. A seasonal downside: In warm weather you may not be wearing much clothing and this will be an issue. The fabric of the seat adheres to the exposed flesh. Lay out a towel if you're not wearing pants. ;)
