We use the projector for both indoor and outdoor movie nights. Bright enough if you can control the ambient light. Our neighbors have a bright light peeking out from behind our fence so we're limited to where we can project or the image won't be bright enough. The cast feature is cool, although it doesn't work with streaming services (Netflix, HULU, Revain, Disney+) as HDCP blocks the output on the cast/mirror device. You can still physically plug in your Chromecast or Firestick and stream from there, it works. It all feels a lot sturdier than our latest TMY model, and the focus/trapezoidal dials don't feel flimsy. Volume is surprisingly loud for the size, but don't expect movie dialogue when people are talking nearby (like around a campfire). The projector has a much shorter throw angle than our latest DLP model, so you don't have to move it that far from the screen to get a big picture. We use the supplied screen outdoors and project directly onto the wall indoors. Definitely the best value I could find online for a movie night or two a month. We'll also connect and play on a Nintendo Switch (again, you'll need to control the ambient light).
