The snaps are VERY shiny and have a certain patina I don't associate with top-quality. They all work, but I found that when you snap more of them up, the fabric doesn't align perfectly.It's very much true to size (I'm 5'9", 158 and this fit me perfectly and does not look tight).Still, I found myself wishing the snaps were an antique brown or just way more subtle. I realize they are a feature of this item, but somehow they're much more proclamatory in person than they seemed in the photo. Ultimately not really my style, but you win some, you lose some.
