Works like a charm
Still expensive but compared to Nikon's insane price range for some hollow plastic adapters with a bunch of useless pins this is a better choice. In theory you only need + and - and your $10 item an AC adapter, but they do it on purpose to get your money. The bad news is that even with this cable, the camera will not record for more than 30 minutes to protect the sensor from overheating. Even though the sensor stays on and LV keeps running. I shoot for 5 hours with no problems, just have to hit that unmanaged capture button every 30 minutes.
