The print quality is great, it does everything I need. Ready to use, scan to a computer, copy, print and more is easy. A word of caution though. By profession I am a well paid systems engineer. I'm definitely good at IT/networking, system administration and even a bit of programming. However, it actually took me an hour to get the damn thing to scan emails with encrypted SMTP, as it didn't like my email provider's (Optimum/Altice) TLS certificate for SMTP. So I spent almost 45 minutes interpreting error codes and troubleshooting, and spent about 15 minutes looking up the settings pages that I needed in the first place to even start entering the configuration correctly. (IE: why did the documentation first direct me to this useless/horrible legacy site that you can't even access in the UI without direct url navigation when I should have navigated to other pages? Then why the port number smtp on other side than email? Also, oh my god, there is some serious granular control over allowed PKI algorithms for TLS on that other side, etc.) FYI, SSL/TLS works for encrypted SMTP on this device, but not for optim.net mail for some reason. Instead, I was able to get my Outlook.com email working with the app's password when I set up 2FA for it. I think it might have something to do with the optimal requirement to use certain ciphers with their certificate and without STARTTLS, but I might be wrong - I didn't do any further troubleshooting and just decided to use a different email address for to use SMTP. , the web interface (they call it "Remote") is very unintuitive, and unfortunately closely related options are found in menus scattered in all sorts of places about the machine. Documentation is also scattered everywhere. If you're planning on doing anything other than the basics, you should know your way around like I did, or get their tech support. Otherwise this thing is feature rich and in my opinion more than a comparable Brother printer. It's much slimmer and more modern than its similar brother, plus it's really quiet :D.
