1-year update: BIG UP! Oh my god, support costs more than a printer.

I've been using this thing for a year now, occasionally as needed. I turned it off most of the time to save power and EVERY TIME I try to print it turns on, adjusts and prints. . every time The copies are as crisp as when they were purchased and my wife is no longer afraid when I mention printers. . . . I like it more now than when I bought it, mostly because it continues to do what I bought it for and I don't have to think about what to do if it doesn't work. . Why aren't phones like this? Why

Best printer I've ever had (and amazing value)

So I don't write many reviews but I feel I have to give credit where it's due - this is a amazing product. I bought this to replace a Samsung printer that basically stopped working properly with my Macs after the latest OS X/Catalina updates. I was a little annoyed about having to buy a brand new printer, but this one was expensive at less than $200. Excellent. Then it arrived today, and oh my god. Great printer - but word WARNING

The print quality is great, it does everything I need. Ready to use, scan to a computer, copy, print and more is easy. A word of caution though. By profession I am a well paid systems engineer. I'm definitely good at IT/networking, system administration and even a bit of programming. However, it actually took me an hour to get the damn thing to scan emails with encrypted SMTP, as it didn't like my email provider's (Optimum/Altice) TLS certificate for SMTP. 3 year guarantee. The supplied cartridge is not a "starter". This is a full featured 3100 page cartridge. The price includes at least 2 additional cartridges compared to all competitors. It's incredibly fast. It has multi-page duplex scanning - when you give it a stack of paper - it automatically scans both sides of each page and puts them nicely into a PDF, for example. Very happy with the purchase

I bought this printer after reading many reviews about other brands. After considering user complaints about other brands, I chose a Cannon printer. Installation is quick, in fact removing the ribbon from the printer took longer than printing my first page, which worked wirelessly from all 4 of my Windows computers and 3 of my 4 iOS phones. For some reason one of my sleeping phones doesn't recognize the printer when it's in sleep mode and I have to wake up the printer manually first. I don't…

I use this printer for basic household purposes. Regularly print a few times a month and also scan all my incoming paper documents to archive and go paperless, so I scan almost daily: invoices, IRS docs, payslips, contracts, everything.
